Why I love Mastodon

I’ve moved from Twitter to Mastodon and I love it! Unlike Twitter where content ‘you might like’ is pushed to your feed, you only see content from people & organisations that you follow and in the order they’ve been posted. Mastodon encourages you to follow lots of people. If you don’t, your feed is populated by just a few posts – pretty dull right? I’ve connected to a really eclectic mix of people and subjects. People with a passion for arts, archeology, science, news and all manner of other subjects. Unlike Twitter, I see many more posts from regular people rather than organisations and celebrities.
